November Colorado Association of Realtors Numbers for La Plata County

This week, we have the latest real estate numbers for La Plata County for the month of November. The attached charts show a detailed breakdown of several market segments in La Plata County, showing La Plata County as a whole, Durango In Town, Durango Rural, Bayfield In Town, Bayfield Rural, Ignacio In Town, Ignacio Rural, and Durango Mountain Area.

These charts indicate the statistics and key metrics for single family homes and townhouses/condos, including new listings, sold listings, median sales price, and more. They compare November 2019 to November 2018. We also see the rolling 12 month median sales price for single family homes and townhouses/condos in these segments. We always appreciate these charts to be able to spot trends within our local market, and compare results to previous years.

La Plata County single family homes had an increase in the number of new listings, but a slight drop in the total number of sold listings and median sales price compared to November of 2018. Year to date, we see an increase in new listings and the median sales price, and a slightly lower number of total sold listings. The townhouse/condo market had fewer new listings, sold listings, and a lower median sales price compared to November of 2018. It was a slower month for this market segment; however, we still see an increase in new listings, sold listings, and median sales price in this segment year to date compared to last year through this time.

Bayfield rural single family homes had a standout month in terms of the number of sold listings and the median sales price: there was a substantial increase in these areas compared to last year at this time. Additionally, year to date we see more new listings, more sold listings, and a higher median sales price compared to through last year at this time.

Durango Mountain Area townhouses/condos had another strong month. There were more sold listings and a higher median sales price this November compared to November of 2018. Year to date, we see more new listings, more sold listings, and a higher median sales price compared to through last year at this time.

As the year winds down, we see to see the strong townhouse/condo market across the board, and significant activity in the Bayfield markets this year. Next month will give us the year-end numbers so we can gain a full picture of 2019 compared to 2018. As always, we welcome any questions you have on the La Plata County real estate market.
