Downtown Durango Sidewalk Vending Days set for Labor Day weekend
Special sidewalk sales coordinated by Durango Business Improvement District
Durango, CO – To remind residents about the unique shopping in Downtown Durango and support local businesses, the Durango Business Improvement District (BID) has coordinated a concerted Sidewalk Sales/Vending Days promotion over the Labor Day weekend, Friday–Monday, Sept. 2-5, 2016, with local merchants offering promotions and sidewalk sales, and capitalizing on the Four Corners Motorcycle Rally events in Durango.
“We have more than 20 Downtown merchants who are actively participating with sidewalk sales and promotions in their stores over the Labor Day weekend,” said Tanya Clegg, BID community relations coordinator, noting that more merchants are signing on daily. “We want to encourage everyone who is coming to town for the Motorcycle Rally to also check out our unique retailers and capitalize on their sales and specials.”
As of release date, Downtown merchants participating in the Sidewalk Sales/Vending Days are, Animas Trading, A Shared Blanket, Ashley Homestore, Conundrum Escape Rooms, Del Sol Durango, Dolce, Durango Antique Market, Durango Craft Spirits, Kids Rock, Lively, Maria’s Bookshop, Overland, Peggy McMahan, Rosepedals, Silk Sparrow, Southwest Sound, Spa Shop and Day Spa, Sticks and Stones Handmade, Tippy Canoe, Urban Market and YESS the Bookhutch.
“Everybody’s doing something a little different for the event, but combined it’s all fun and is a real opportunity to shop local for some great deals,” said Clegg. “Parking is free at the meters and in City lots all weekend. Come see what’s happening Downtown.”
