Chapman Hill Programs Begin Soon!

Durango, CO –   Chapman Hill rink will begin its fall/winter programs in October!  The season opens with a new program never before offered at Chapman Hill.  Power on Ice is a power-skating clinic designed to help skaters with speed, power, agility, and technique and begins October 2nd at 9:15 p.m.

This season, Parks and Recreation will also host the first-ever Hockey Day!  On Saturday, October 3rd from noon until 1:45 p.m., the ice will be available to new youth and adult hockey players free of charge.  All new or interested hockey players will have the chance to try on gear and learn to skate.  If you are a current hockey player that has gear to sell or give away we will have table space for your equipment.  Chapman Hill is looking for volunteers to assist new players on the ice.  Please contact the rink if you are interested in volunteering to help youth and new adult hockey players learn to skate.

Parks and Recreation will kick-off the Learn to Skate program on October 6th.  Lesson times for Learn to Skate can be found online at the City’s web page (Durangogov.org) or check your Parks and Recreation Activity Guide.

The hockey programs First Freeze and 40 and Over Adult League will begin October 7th and October 11th, respectively.  Please register at the Recreation Center for all these activities soon so you don’t miss out on the winter fun at Chapman Hill this season.
