Durango Mountain Resort Gives Music in the Mountains a Gift of a Lifetime!
Prize drawing and online auction for two 25-year ski passes!
Durango, CO – In honor of Music in the Mountains’ 25th Anniversary, Durango Mountain Resort has given the non-profit organization two 25-YEAR PASSES good through the 2036/2037 season and two lucky people will benefit!
When an employee has worked at Durango Mountain Resort for 10 years they are issued a Season Pass valid for the rest of their lives. “We have really appreciated having the Music in the Mountains festival concerts during the summer season over the years and giving these passes was a wonderful way to acknowledge our partnership,” said Gary Derck, CEO of Durango Mountain Resort. Over the last several years, family-friendly Durango Mountain Resort has transitioned from a winter resort into a year-round resort with many summer activities including an alpine slide, mountain biking, bungee jumping, guided hikes, dining and more.
Music in the Mountains produces the premier three-week summer classical music festival in Southwest Colorado with musicians of the highest caliber from all over the country and the world. Since its beginning in 1987, the primary concert venue has been under the festival tent surrounded by the scenic beauty of the San Juan Mountains at Durango Mountain Resort.
In order to raise funds to help support the summer music festival and the year round Music in the Mountains Goes to School music education programs, the 25-YEAR PASSES are being 1) raffled off and 2) auctioned online. For details and to purchase a raffle ticket or to bid online, please visit www.MusicintheMountains.com. Only 2,500 tickets will be sold. Drawing will be held on January 21, 2012 at noon at the Bear Bar at Durango Mountain Resort. The auction will also end on January 21, 2012 at noon. Value of each pass is estimated at more than $20,000.00.
“We are so grateful for our long-standing partnership with Durango Mountain Resort and look forward to the next 25 years together”, said Susan Lander, Music in the Mountains’ Executive Director.
