Local Dirt Lover’s Race Returns to the Gulch for 10th Year

 

Durango, CO – Durango Parks and Recreation will host the 10th Annual Health-Fx Dirt Lover’s Rally on Sunday, August 23 in the Horse Gulch trail system.  Featuring three different courses, the annual mountain bike race kicks off at 9:00 a.m. approximately half a mile up the road from the Horse Gulch Trailhead.  The six-mile beginner course follows the Meadow and Stacy’s Loop.  Both the 16-mile sport course and the 18.5-mile expert course will test the competitor’s power and endurance as each course winds through the extensive and popular Horse Gulch trail system.  

All participants will receive a t-shirt, compliments of Health Fx, on race day and be eligible for great prize drawings following the race.  Registration is available on-line at www.active.com or at the Durango Community Recreation Center.  Registration fee is $30.00.  Race day registration and check-in will take place at the Horse Gulch trailhead on Sunday, August 23 from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m.  For more information, please contact Rick at 375-7308 or [email protected].
