Sponsors
Alpine Bank, the San Juan Mountains Association, San Juan Public Lands, and Trails 2000 are proud to sponsor this creative, collaborative event as a way to promote enjoyment of our incomparable SW Colorado trails.
The Concept
The Share the Trails concept is simple: when we respect each other on the trails, we help ensure that everyone can enjoy “our common ground.”
History
In the past, the sponsors have hosted events for outdoor enthusiasts to share a fun day on the trail. Last year, the San Juan Mountains Association sponsored a one-day forum designed to re-energize the community’s commitment to Sharing the Trails. Many of the user groups that participated in the symposium are also members of SW Colorado Share the Trails Roundtable, which meets two or three times a year to exchange ideas and information.
This year our coalition of participants planned a fun, innovative event to help folks discover new ways of enjoying local trails while sharing them!
Participants
In addition to the sponsors, participating groups include: The Colorado Trail Foundation, Creeper Jeepers Gang, Four Corners Back Country Horsemen, La Plata County Multi-event Center Task Force, Mesa Verde Back Country Horsemen, Rocky Mountain Ramblers OHV Club, San Juan Trail Riders, Vallecito Conservation and Sporting Association, Vallecito Service League
