Durango, CO: The Durango Community Recreation Center and the Durango Discovery Museum are teaming up to offer a same day discount to each facility. Buy a full price daily admission at either the Durango Community Recreation or at the Durango Discovery Museum and receive a half price admission at the other facility on the same day. The half price promotion will continue through January 15, 2012.
Located at 2700 Main Avenue, the 71,557 square foot Durango Community Recreation Center provides a variety of recreational opportunities for all members of the community. The Center offers high quality fitness equipment and classes, an 11 lane lap pool, leisure pool, spa, two racquetball courts, two basketball courts, 30 foot climbing wall, game room, indoor track, and childcare room.
The Durango Discovery Museum is a hands-on, interactive science center for all ages. Located on the banks of the Animas River in a historic coal-fired, steam-generated AC power plant, the Durango Discovery Museum presents a wide range of programs, exhibits, and activities designed to provide an entertaining and inspiring look at “energy — past, present, and future.”
