If your pet’s food has corn or grain in the ingredient list, and it doesn’t say “organic” then it is most likely GMO and has glyphosate in it, the same as human food.
Nonorganic corn or corn syrup usually has BT toxin, as well, which comes from genes they’ve put into the seed corn so it makes a pesticide that punches holes in insects’ digestive tracts that eat it. There is now evidence that these genes are being incorporated into the resident gut bacteria of the mammals that eat the GMO corn and then begin making the pesticide, possibly leading to leaky gut in the host.
Safety of GMO products was truly not researched before they were released for consumption. (They are banned in most of Europe.) There has been a revolving door between the industry (esp. Monsanto) and govt. regulators (who okay it’s use despite non-industry research showing dangers). The “fox watching the henhouse” has not protected us or our pets! Epidemiological studies show direct correlation between the rising use of glyphosate with many illnesses (esp. in children..allergies, autism, ADHD), including cancer. Many people and animals’ health (and for some, fertility) improves just from removing GMO foods from their diet!
