Purgatory Ends Season With a Splash
Purgatory Resort closed its regular season with a pond skimming contest that attracted hundreds of spectators and 75 contestants who tried to ski or snowboard across a pond of icy water. With 5 feet of snow still on the ground, Purgatory plans to open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through the end of April.
