Hosted by Coors Light and Four Corners Broadcas�ng
Now in its 25th year, this event challenges all area hippies to find the Coors Light “Silver Bullet”!
Somewhere among the cliffs and canyons, mountains and meadows of La Plata County, the Coors Light
“Silver Bullet” will be hidden. Find the “Silver Bullet” before anyone else and win $250 cash, glory and
other groovy prizes! How it works – each day, star�ng Monday Jan 29th, clues will be released on RADIO
101.3 FM & KRSJ 100.5 FM radio sta�ons that will help you in your search. You must be crea�ve and
smart in your solu�on of these clues to find the “Silver Bullet” and claim your veritable plethora of
prizes. Remember there is no second place in this contest…there is only one “Silver Bullet”! Registra�on

The SNOWDOWN Follies are back for the 40th year for more fun, laughter, groovy entertainment, and
local commentary! This event is brought to you by an outstanding all-volunteer cast and crew, many of
whom audi�on year a�er year. This notoriously irreverent event is adult entertainment and has some of
the most sought-a�er �ckets of SNOWDOWN. Ticket purchases are therefore limited to four per person.

Hosted by Durango Office Depot. It’s not just a contest, it’s a journey into the free-spirited realms of
aerial harmony. Each contestant will make, decorate, and throw their own paper plane to see who can fly
the farthest. An adult must accompany each contestant (but may not par�cipate.) Age groups shall
compete at the same �me: elementary (1-5 grade), middle (6-9 grade), and high school (10-12 grade).

5 PM PEACE, LOVE AND PILLOW FIGHTING
The Good Fight Boxing Gym – 835 Main Ste 105
PILLOW FIGHT! This event will parallel the rules and regula�ons of a USA Boxing event, minus the
punching. So put the boxing gloves down cause we’re all about peace and love here. Par�cipants will be
matched by three criteria: age, weight, and grooviness. Scoring will be done by a panel of TGF volunteers
and in accordance with USA Boxing rules. Judges will consider mul�ple criteria in scoring e.g. number of
pillow strikes, ringmanship, and style. In true SNOWDOWN fashion, a few fun new rules may be added as
well. Spectators are encouraged to make a dona�on to our scholarship fund. Ages 12+.

groovy mashup of music, but there’s a twist – they’ll be blindfolded! In each round, four fearless dancers
will take the stage, moving to the rhythm and trus�ng their inner hippy ins�ncts. But here’s where it gets
wild – the winner isn’t chosen by a panel of judges. It’s all about the vibes of the audience. The crowd
will decide who moves to the next round! A�er four epic rounds of dance, the finalists from each round

There will be a Ski Parade down the “Hill” to pass the SNOWDOWN torch from 2023 to now. Come ski in
costume and you can join the parade! Meet at the 6 pack li� at 1 PM for the ride up and ski down to
follow the torch! The torch will light the opening flame and the 2025 SNOWDOWN THEME WINNER will

Hosted by Creature Comforts and La Plata County Humane Society. Groovy speed demons, start those
engines! Let’s spread the love for our litle furry buddies as they compete for the �niest trophy in town.
Hamsters and other small rodents are all welcome to hop on the peace train. Every litle criter’s gota
have its own far-out ball to race in. Come join the love-in as spectators, there ain’t no charge for good
vibes. Create a far-out bracket, tune into the universe, and predict who’ll be our �ny champion. We’ll
also have some groovy ac�vi�es, mind-blowing prizes, enlightening knowledge, and a cosmic hamster

4 PM SNOWDOWN COASTER COASTING
8th Avenue Tavern – 509 E 8th Ave
Teams of two will compete in a ten hole compe��on. The goal is to toss and sink the coasters into ten
buckets set up around the bar from designated loca�ons based on the hole. Hi�ng the bucket is one
point. sinking the first shot is three points. If first shot misses the team has the choice to take the one
point for hi�ng the bucket or zero points for missing it completely, or they can opt to have the second
teammate shoot for chance to get two points for making it or one point for hi�ng the bucket. Heckling is
encouraged. No physical interference allowed. No standing near or in front of hole while shot is taken.
Highest score wins! There will be two days of preliminaries with the top two finishers of each day coming
back for a finals event. First place in each preliminary gets twenty dollars cash. Second place in each
preliminary gets a drink token. First place in the finals gets fi�y dollars cash. Second place in the finals
gets twenty five dollars cash. Third and fourth receive drink tokens. Come show us your coaster tossing
skills! Must be 21+.
