The FBI is taking applications for its Teen Academy and Collegiate Academy in Durango, Colo., which will be held Saturday, Sept. 17 at Fort Lewis College.

These activities are being led by the FBI Denver Field Office with assistance from the FBI Albuquerque Field Office.

Teen Academies are free one-day events where high school students learn about FBI career options, hear a case presentation, participate in interactive Evidence Response and SWAT demonstrations and learn about online safety.

Each teen session can accommodate 30-40 participants, all of whom should be high school sophomores, juniors or seniors.

The deadline to apply for the Teen Academy is Sept. 8.

The application can be found on FBI Denver’s website: https://www.fbi.gov/contact-us/field-offices/denver/community-outreach

This will be the first-ever Collegiate Academy, a free event open to all college students of any major. The format is similar to the teen academies, but the presentations are developed for a more mature audience.

FBI recruiters, agents and professional staff will be on hand to answer questions.
