Hozhoni Days Powwow – 2017

DURANGO, CO – The 53rd Hozhoni Days Powwow, Fort Lewis College’s annual celebration of its unique Native American heritage, begins Friday, April 14 and concludes the following day. The Powwow is one of the largest and longest-running Fort Lewis College traditions and brings hundreds of visitors to Durango each year. This year’s Powwow honors the veterans of all conflicts.

Among Friday’s festivities are the Gourd Dance at 5 p.m. and the Grand Entry at 7 p.m. On Saturday, the Gourd Dances will be at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., with the Grand Entries taking place at 1 and 7 p.m. Admission is $6 per day, with children under 6 and adults over 60 getting in free.
