CHILI COOKERS NEEDED!!

Pine River Community Learning Center’s annual fundraiser for Literacy, Learning and Lifework is coming soon!! The Chili Cookoff features three categories for entry, Traditional Red, Traditional Green and Alternative or Homestyle Chili ( which can include beans and other fillers). Once again this year, Lewis True Value Mercantile is donating the People’s Choice Grand Prize – a fabulous gas grill; Sunnyside Farms Market is again providing an assortment of their quality meat as prizes for the Judges Choice Chili’s. OctoberFeast will be held on Saturday, October 22 at Eagle Park in Bayfield. Cookers set up at 7:30, cooking begins at 8:00 and chili tasting for the public at 11:30. Judging will be held at noon. OctoberFeast also provides a multitude of fun activities for the whole family, so save the date and come on out and enjoy the day. Family activities are open from 11:00 to 2:00 and include the carrousel from Alice’s Place, pumpkin carving/painting, face painting, harvest games and more.
