How the Affordable Care Act Benefits YOU

Durango, CO – Residents have an opportunity to hear how the Affordable Care Act may benefit them and their family. San Juan Basin Health Department’s Health Coverage Guide is providing free presentations for community members in Ignacio, Bayfield and Durango during September and October.

Health insurance will be more affordable and accessible for many Coloradans under the Affordable Care Act. O’Connor will explain what has changed, how your family may be affected, and how to take advantage of the new opportunities available through Connect for Health Colorado, our state’s new health insurance Marketplace. Changes in eligibility rules for private insurance, premium tax credits, and Medicaid will also be discussed.
