Homeownership and The American Dream

As we close the month of June, we would be remiss not to focus on real estate and its impact on our country. June is National Homeownership Month. According to the White House, “During National Homeownership Month, we acknowledge the benefits of sustainable homeownership.  Homeownership continues to be an important option for many Americans to invest in their communities, build wealth, and achieve the American Dream”

The National Association of Realtors published an article this January stating that many still consider homeownership to be part of the American Dream. “Homeowners and non-homeowners both strongly consider homeownership part of the American Dream. That is according to new consumer survey data from the National Association of Realtors®, which revealed that among those polled, approximately 75 percent of non-homeowners believe homeownership is part of their American Dream, while nine in 10 current homeowners said the same”.

As real estate professionals, we are passionate about helping our clients achieve their dream of homeownership. Homeownership allows personal satisfaction, as well as the ability to make a long-term investment. We are fortunate to live and work in one of the most beautiful places in the world, and are thankful to help our clients in the process of purchasing homes and property here. La Plata County is a wonderful community, and as we approach Independence Day and consider what living in America means, we are thankful for the ability to pursue the dream of owning a home in our community!

As always, we are available for any questions you may have!
